Administration & Policy

The State Procurement Office (SPO) serves as the central procurement authority for the agencies, boards and commissions of the State of Arizona. In this role, SPO provides a number of programs to ensure governmentwide observation of and compliance with all applicable procurement statutes, rules and policies.
State Procurement Resource Library
In an effort to bring together into one location all of procurement regulations that bear upon contracting and purchasing activity in State government, SPO provides a State Procurement Resource Library:
Agency Procurement Authority

The authority to enter into contracts and agreement on behalf of the State is primarily derived from ARS § 41-2501, et seq., the "Arizona Procurement Code". In accordance with R2-7-203 pursuant to the Procurement Code, SPO manages the further delegation of Procurement Authority to the agencies.

Procurement Compliance

To ensure that agencies remain in compliance with all applicable procurement statues, rules and policies, SPO also manages a Procurement Compliance program.
