A Look to the Future - Building a World Class State Procurement Team
Hello and welcome to the State Procurement Office (SPO), a division of the Arizona Department of Administration.
In compliance with the Arizona Procurement Code and in support of the policy and administrative responsibilities of the State, SPO serves as the State’s central procurement authority and is responsible for the authorization, oversight and management of the contracting and purchasing activities of the State.
Our Purpose:
Simplify, clarify and modernize the law governing procurement by the state.

- Foster effective broad-based competition within the free enterprise system.
- Provide safeguards for the maintenance of a procurement system of quality and integrity.
- Obtain in a cost-effective and responsive manner the materials, services and construction required by state agencies in order for those agencies to better serve this state’s businesses and residents.
