Valarie started with the state part-time in May of 1991 at the State Procurement Office. She was hired full-time in June of 1992 then worked at DES Procurement for 3 years, then at ADOT Procurement for a year, then went to The Arizona Department of Education in Procurement for 6 and half years.  She then returned to ADOT in 2004 at the Right of Way Contracts Group and then to ADOT Procurement Group in 2006. She has been a Procurement Manager ever since and has a team of 6 staff members.  Valarie's team handles Information Technology, Facilities Maintenance and Professional Services for the agency.
